Grand Richmond as the Official Host of TAR Asia Qualifiers 2025

Advancing Youth Development Alongside Sustainable Environmental Stewardship

Grand Richmond Hotel is deeply honored to serve as the official host of the TAR Asia Qualifiers 2025, a significant platform where youth from across Asia come together to showcase their potential, inspire one another, and build connections through the power of sport. In tandem with this meaningful event, the hotel has placed strong emphasis on sustainable environmental management, recognizing the importance of minimizing long-term impacts on both society and nature.

Throughout the duration of the tournament, the hotel implemented a range of robust environmental measures. This included the installation of 11 designated waste separation points around the venue, designed to facilitate waste disposal and encourage proper waste sorting among participants and attendees.

The primary types of waste collected were:

  • Organic wet waste
  • Recyclable waste
  • General waste

On the day of the event, the organizing team conducted structured waste collection and categorized the materials accordingly to ensure their appropriate reuse. A key highlight of these efforts was the handling of recyclable waste.

Grand Richmond proudly contributed to extending the life and value of these materials by donating them to various charitable foundations and public interest organizations, as follows:

  1. The Prostheses Foundation of Her Royal Highness the Princess Mother : Recyclable materials were donated to be used as components in the manufacturing of prosthetic limbs, providing individuals with mobility impairments a chance at a better quality of life.
  2. Precious Plastic Bangkok : Water bottle caps, milk cartons, and plastic food containers were forwarded for creative recycling processes that transform plastic waste into new and meaningful products.
  3. Wat Chak Daeng : Clean plastic bottles were donated to be recycled into monk robes, exemplifying a thoughtful and spiritual approach to repurposing resources.
  4. Chanthaburi Diocese Social Development Center : Reusable fabrics and materials were donated and repurposed into pillows for bedridden patients in local communities—contributing to both community welfare and circular resource use.

These collective actions reflect Grand Richmond’s steadfast commitment to being a responsible Green Event Organizer, devoted to balancing the dynamics of large-scale events with strategies that minimize environmental impact.

On behalf of the organizing committee, Grand Richmond extends its sincere gratitude to all parties who contributed to making this event a success—whether in the realm of sports, education, or sustainable development. The hotel remains dedicated to serving as a role model for environmental responsibility and sincerely hopes that the TAR Asia Qualifiers 2025 will serve as a meaningful milestone in inspiring society to take action, raise awareness, and work together toward the sustainable care of our planet.
